Daily Notes | The Just Pitching Match Ups Edition
Hey all, I don't have much time for notes today, but thought I would at least put up the guys I would sit or start tonight. Take what it what you will...
Bumgarner @ Richard - It's Petco. Richard's home ERA is 2.12. It's over 6.00 on the road.
Gomez @ Scherzer
Capuano @ Kendrick - The park is small, but I still trust Capuano here. His last start was in Colorado, and he was pummeled because he couldn't get the movement he needed on his breaking pitches.
Hefner @ Jackson - I want to be able to start both guys here, mostly because I'm crazy and like to take chances. Hefner has been good in two of his three starts. Washington isn't a high powered offense and the park is big. If you really want to gamble, he might be the play.
Cobb @ Nova
Delgado @ Johnson - Delgado has given up too many runs, walked too many batters, and not gotten enough K's in his last few starts to get my trust back yet.
W. Chen @ Beckett - I can't figure Beckett out. You look at his 4.26 ERA and think he is awful (compared to himself) but then you look at his game log and see his earned runs per game are 7,1,3,2,3,7,0,1,2,4. There are really only two bad games in there. His K's are down, but so are his walks, and his xFIP and SIERA are both under 4.00. I suppose he has a better chance of not sucking tonight than sucking.
Lincoln @ Cueto - I would start Lincoln in deep leagues (15 team) or NL Only.
Wainwright @ Norris
Maholm @ Greinke
Blackburn @ Paulino
Morrow @ Quintana
Outman @ Miley
Noesi @ Williams
Lewis @ Colon
