It's really nothing more than a squirely contest between two blogs for the heart of the fantasy baseball world...NOT!

Below is a description from the commish on the format as well as the unique categories we will be using...

2011 Potential First Round Busts and Second Round Values

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

Spring training is almost here, which means two things: 1) Baseball is almost back (!) and 2) mock drafts have shifted into high gear. According to mockdraftcentral.com, Albert Pujols and Hanley Ramirez once again sit at the top of fantasy GM's depth charts. While these two are more than solid top-of-the-chart picks, there may be some first round names that could fall short of expectations in 2011 and some second round names that could provide first round type of numbers.

2011 Keeper Rankings: Outfield

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

There are a lot of outfielders to choose from, no question about that. Due to that fact, I take a slightly different approach when looking to rank the outfield keepers, focusing even more on long-term value. Because of this, age and upside/downside plays an even bigger role. I've listed 70 outfielders here, since leagues can vary greatly in depth of the number of outfield spots as well as the number of teams/keepers used from year-to-year. Due to time constraints, I've only commented on a few players, so feel free to post any questions you may have about the list in the comments.

Impact: Vlad Lands in Birdland

It took a while, but Vladimir Guerrero has finally found a home for the 2011 season. He'll take over DH duties for the Baltimore Orioles, pushing Luke Scott to left-field and pushing aside any hopes of sleeper value from Felix Pie or Nolan Reimold.

It's not a mock, it's the real thing!!! (Part 2)

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

My first draft of the 2011 fantasy baseball season is in the books! This is a 10 team, head-to-head, OBP (sub for AVG) keeper league (keep 10 from year-to-year). We did a slow draft through email starting the first Monday in January.

We drafted 30 players each. Rosters are: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, CI, MI, LF, CF, RF, OF (2), UT, SP (4), P (3), RP (4), BN (6)

You can see rounds 1-15 in part 1.

2011 Keeper Rankings: Closers

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

Is there any position worse to try and project 2-5 years down the road?

Death, taxes and closer turnover. It's inevitable. Every single season top-end closers fall (Jonathan Broxton) while mid-tier and end-game closers emerge as extremely valuable assets (Carlos Marmol and Rafael Soriano). There are very few Mariano Rivera's in the baseball world, so take this list for what it is. Job opportunity/security weighs extremely heavily in the 2011 closer keeper rankings.

2011 Keeper Rankings: Shortstop

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

First things first. Sorry about the lack of content over the weekend. I moved into a new place and didn't get internet activated in time. There may be some lapses in content the next couple of weeks as I put in some extra time working on and hopefully finishing the 2011 draft guide, which will be FREE! Now, onto today's keeper list...

If you are one of the lucky ones that is the proud owner of a top three shortstop keeper, congrats. The rest of the list doesn't get me too excited.

2011 Keeper Rankings: Third Base

Written by Charlie Saponara on .

The top three third base keepers are young and a good bet to be all-star fantasy studs for the foreseeable future. However, the rest of the pack has more than a few question marks.
