Every season, there are at least a few players that make for surprise all-stars. Jose Bautista and his 21 home runs and Matt Capps' 22 saves are examples of this. But did they make the FB365 Value All-Star team?

This team is comprised of players who were either late round picks on draft day or waiver wire gems.

First I called it the Roto Recap, then I didn't write any for a while. It came back as the Roto Roundup, but I like Recap better, so we'll go with that from now on. Not that you care, but just to clarify. The fantasy news and notes is what you're looking for I presume. Should I call it "Roto News and Notes"? Why am I spending so much time writing this stupid explanation? Brian Fuentes pitched a scoreless, hittless ninth for once...How about that? On to the notes from Thursday....

Instead of two-separate posts, I’ve decided to go ahead and put the whole damn thing together. I’m sure you’ll find some surprises in these rankings. My methods are strongly based on sabermetrics, but I certainly include “real life” issues that some of these pitchers face like innings limitations, age, previous arm injuries, etc.

Nick Swisher gets back in the home run groove and don't look now, but Ian Kinsler might be finding a power stroke of his own. That and more in the Roto Roundup from Tuesday's action.

It has been a long season for Chase Utley owners. Projected as a no-doubt first rounder and the top second baseman heading into this season, Utley has struggled to a .277 AVG with only 11 home runs and 37 RBI. Now a bruised thumb has sent him to the disabled list and sent fantasy owners into a state of panic.

Is the Hot Nolasco Sauce back? Do Jason Bay's two home runs mean he's starting to get the power swing going again? Find out in the notes from yesterday's roundup...
