2010 Fantasy Predictions: Cy Young Award
Yesterday I made my AL and NL Rookie of the Year prediction for both real and fantasy baseball. Today I'll dive into the wonderful world of pitching and uncover my 2010 Cy Young Award winners.
Mike Leake Skips the Minors, Named Reds Fifth Starter
The Reds 2009 first round pick Mike Leake will skip the minor leagues all together and start his career as a major leaguer.
It came down to this wire, but Mike Leake beat out Travis Wood for the Red's fifth starter spot to start the 2010 season. Leake comes via Arizona State and college pitchers tend to make a quick transition to the Major Leagues, but what can we really expect from Mike Leake in regards to our fantasy baseball teams?
2010 Fantasy Predictions: Rookie of the Year
Opening day is right around the corner and publications are dishing out their preseason picks. Who will win the World Series? Who will be the MVP? Well, I guess I'll throw some predictions of my own out there, but instead of focusing only on the regular awards I'll put a fantasy twist on everything.
Draft Review: Blog Wars 15 Team Auction
It was the last draft of the season for me. FB365 Reader MDS (Million Dollar Sleeper) put together quite the cast in his 15 team league. With representatives from other sites such as Razzball, Roto Graphs (Fan Graphs), KFFL, Fantasy Baseball Sherpa, AOL Fanhouse and more, this league is sure to be as competitive as they are my picks in order of aquisistion with the winning bid attached as well as some notes on the pick.
Spring Risers: Pitchers
Yesterday we looked at a few hitters that have put up big spring training numbers. Some have even forced their way into big league playing time. Today we head to the mound and find some pitchers that have impressed this spring and what type of fantasy impact (if any) we can expect.
Spring Risers: Hitters
Despite the fact that people say spring training stats mean nothing, Major League organizations often use these stats to make important roster decisions. Some players perform so well during the spring that they force themselves onto Major League rosters and perhaps even regular playing time.
What players made big moves this spring and what can we expect from them heading into the regular season?
Anatomy of a Trade: First Trade of the Season
Ever wonder what goes through the heads of Fantasy GM's when they propose a trade? Well, this season we will have that opportunity thanks to the participants in the FB365 League. The other day I went over some league transactions from last week. Among those transactions was the first trade of the year.
Here is what each GM had to say about why the deal was done.
PBurke trades
Adam Dunn
Carlos Lee
Matt Cain

So You're Saying There's a Chance? Undrafted Players That Could Surprise
Every year, without fail, it happens. Players come from the fantasy free agent and wavier wires to help turn teams into champions. This season will be no exception. The key is to be the owner quick enough to grab that difference maker. Below is a list of players that likely went undrafted in mixed leagues, but have a chance (as crazy as some may sound) to make an impact and make a difference for fantasy teams in 2010.
