2011 All-Awesome Team
Just for fun, as we head into the 4th of July weekend, when the MLB All-Star Game rosters will be announced, here's my team of fantasy all-stars. The 2011 All-Awesome Team!
C Alex Avila - The dude probably wasn't even drafted in most mixed leagues. He's been a top 5 catcher all season.
1B Lance Berkman - Most people thought he was done after last year. Boom, roasted.
2B Rickie Weeks - Because he's stayed healthy and that's awesome based on his track record.
SS Asdrubal Cabera - In a dream, As-Cab told me he'd hit seven home runs this season. Liar.
3B Jose Bautista - "Hey, regression! Screw you!!"
OF Matt Kemp - .331 22/22...That's an awesome season and it's only July 1st!
OF Ryan Braun - If I randomly saw this guy on the street, I'd probably hate him instantly. However, as a ballplayer and dude that loves Milwaukee, I say cheers to you Hebrew Hammer!
OF Curtis Granderson - I told you he'd be huge in Yankee Stadium! Just erase last year from your mind.
SP James Shields - Bull dog.
SP Tommy Hanson - Because he tears hitters to shreds.
RP Craig Kimbrel - Cheap saves are awesome.
RP Joel Hanrahan - Cheap saves are awesome.
