(Side note: There is site news in this post, just fast forward to the end if you'd rather not read my random ramblings.)
Mumford and Sons, out of West London, have created a sound that can only be described as folk and roll, mixing deep and sometimes dark, sometimes inspirational lyrics with catchy hooks and powerful riffs (and plenty of rocking out with the banjo!). Give em a listen here. Their album is available at Amazon.com for $7.99 (click below).
Speaking of music, a good friend of mine has launched Anthems and Atleticos, a blog about music and sports. Author Scott Carter has made a name for himself in the minor league baseball world with innovative media and marketing tactics that have earned him nationwide praise. Last year, his "Twilight Night" was voted best theme night on MiLB.com and his former team, the Fresno Grizzlies, became the first minor league franchise to surpass 5000 Twitter followers, thanks in large part to promotions he implemented. Scott is currently a free agent, so if you or someone you know is looking for a marketing/promotions/social media genius, he's your man.
Now, to the site news...
As you can see, Fantasy Baseball 365 has undergone a bit of a face-lift. While the kinks are still getting worked out, I like the new look and the site itself loads faster, with content loading before any ads. Bloguin is updating and improving the commenting system, but, as you can see, the comment sections on newer articles have been non-existent here. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact me through email (
) or Twitter (@CharlieSaponara).
In the coming days, I hope to have finalized information about a joint project with some other fantasy baseball writers. I'll put it this way: It's going to be AWESOME!
